I am back today with some amazing colorful tags for a Bright and Merry Christmas! As you already know if you’re a regular reader, I’m a massive fan of handmade goodies and as a graphic designer it’s in my duty to share with you my passion.

Each celebration is another reason to create new designs and Christmas being my favorite season, Illustrator became my best friend since December 1st. (While my printer is starting to hate me with all the works I’m printing.)

Along with a perfect table, the second Christmas essential is gifting!

However, buying presents isn’t going to do it all. You have the wrapping to think about and with wrapping paper comes… gift tags! Today I’m giving you a bunch of printable colorful tags so you don’t have to think about buying any. That way, you can also give your presents a more personal vibe.

All you need is a printer, some sheets of paper and a pair of scissors or a xacto to cut along the lines. Please note: I created some tags with a white margin so the cutting lines are further apart from the edges of the design. To turn the designs into gift tags? Take a simple hole punch and some twine. Et voilà, you’re all done!

For these tags I designed festive items, such as a bell, some holly and a candy cane. In the PDF file, you’ll also find enough letters to create the phrase ‘Merry Christmas’ if you want to create your very own garland #dailydoseofpaper.

Do you usually buy gift tags or make your own?
