24 DAYS OF X-MAS / Homemade Crackers

My 24 Days of X-Mas series isn’t even half done yet and the feedback has been amazing. This is why I’m even happier to keep posting and sharing with you some of my festive tips and DIY.

Today, we’re welcoming a new freebie. As always, it’s really easy to put into shape, even though you might need to be more patient and meticulous than the previous ones (Colorful Gift Tags & Wine Tags). There is indeed quite a fair amount of cutting and since I don’t want you to lose a finger right before the holiday, I prefer to be honest. All in all there isn’t much to do besides cutting along the lines and folding. However, if you have a dozen of guests and want to offer each one of them some candy, you might have to start now!

Homemade Crackers

For these crackers, you will need: a pair of scissors, a cutter or a xacto (it’s truly up to what you possess and/or prefer) – some sheets of paper – a printer – some glue and of course, fillers to put inside your amazing homemade crackers. Make sure not to forget about the twine to tie each end.

You’ll notice how festive these look. I had an amazing time working on these and I sure hope you’ll appreciate them. It’s not always easy to welcome your guests with a little something and during the holidays, crackers are always a great idea. It’s cute, easy to make yourself and people are always happy to receive some sugar.

Inside you can put anything you want: chocolate, small cookies, candy canes, the choice is endless and totally yours. You can also leave a little message or confettis, everyone loves a bit of colorful mess. If you’re not too keen on filling them (even though it’s kind of the point but hey, I’m not judging) you can just put them on your table as a decoration. It sure adds a little something and you’ll be proud if people notice them. You’re the one putting them together after all!
