24 DAYS OF X-MAS / Sugar Christmas Cookies

24 DAYS OF X-MAS / Sugar Christmas Cookies on NinetyCo by Jessica Woods

Let’s talk about another Christmas essential…food. My favorite part!

When I was a kid my mum and I lived in an apartment and she used to tell me Santa had to knock on the door to give me presents because we didn’t have a chimney. I remember being so scared every time I heard a knock on the 25th. And yes you read that right, I was scared, not excited. So I used to get up from my bed and go hide in the toilet — this is all a true story, my young self was cute but slightly weird. As I was afraid of Santa, this is probably why we never put cookies and milk under the tree.

(Years later I learned it was my grandpa who dressed up as Santa every single year to come knock at our door.)

Christmas Cookies

Back to the main topic of this post: cookies. Even though we didn’t bake for Santa, my mum and I used to treat ourselves and cookies were always on the table. This year I’m continuing the tradition by making some myself. I bought some cutters a few days ago and I had to share my Christmas cookies with you.
