As you probably know, 2017 Pantone color is Greenery.
If you don’t know about any of this, let me explain. Pantone is a company known for creating a color space used in printing (the word Pantone followed by weird series of numbers? That’s them.) and every year, they’re deciding on the color of the year. In 2016, there were in fact two: Rose Quartz and Serenity —a pink and purple shade. In 2015 it was Marsala and in 2014 Radiant Orchid.

If I had to compare Greenery Pantone 15_0343 to something we see in our daily life, I would say it’s quite close to grass. To Pantone, and I quote: “Greenery is a fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring when nature’s greens revive, restore and renew. Illustrative of flourishing foliage and the lushness of the great outdoors Greenery signals consumers to take a deep breath, oxygenate and reinvigorate. A life-affirming shade, Greenery is also emblematic of the pursuit of personal passions.” This is without a doubt the most beautiful color description I have ever read. My deep reflexion about Greenery simply was “Oh it’s weird, I barely own anything green.”.
I’ve then decided we could all fill our closets with the color of the year! However, not many brands sell bright green clothes so I had to adjust my shopping list.
