From The Shop To The Home

Just like anyone else, I go shopping and hang out in cafes; I buy my fruits at the market and have restaurant dates. More than just places to have a good time: shops, stores and diners are sometimes beautifully designed.

From The Shop

Today, I’m not talking about setting up a dining area big enough to gather hundreds of people, but I’m talking about a counter you could also have in your living room, some black boards many flower shops use to write down their prices, or even a patterned wallpaper you absolutely feel in love with when you went to Café Pinson.

The space available in a store compared to your own flat doesn’t have to scare you off, it’s about the little frames or pieces of furniture you can totally buy for your own place. Let me show you to apply two of the trends we’ve seen a lot lately, to your home. With some of my picks, you’ll realize how easy it is to take inspiration from your favorite shop!

I’m a sucker for pendants, even more so when they give some industrial vibe to a room. What I prefer is putting several with just a few inches between them, above a table. However, there’s a small inconvenient, you need to have high celling!

When it comes to greenery, there’s never too much in my opinion! This might seem too much for some of you when two plants are growing next to each other but to me that’s just the right amount. I love plants and pretty bouquets, and doesn’t mind having a lot. However, it’s starting to get rather difficult when most of your pots are on your shelves and you can’t even put books on. With hanging plants or stands, the problem is solved.

Do you have a favorite? Will it be the pendants or the plants?
